Snowed in

Today we're pretty much snowed and iced in. They scraped the road but then it started sleeting pretty hard. Jon is off today anyway and I stayed home.

When we got the home inspection back one of the problems is much worse than we originally thought. They put a new roof on and apparently in 99 homes out of a 100 the roof needs venting but in ours it does not. The roofers really messed up one section of it and it's a real problem. The wood up there is completely splintered. Our real estate agent is talking to them about calling the original roofer and getting it fixed. So we're just hoping they can do that. The rest of the repairs are all easy peasy $10-$20 dollar stuff so they can be fixed with no problem. Stay tuned....

Too many choices!

So now that we have signed we just have to get the inspection done and our financing completed. We will probably finish up mid January. Then we'll have plenty of time to paint and fix it up before we move in. I can't choose paint colors! There are too many choices and I don't want it to look gaudy. My kitchen color has gone from blue to orange to green to blue again. I made a list of everything we want to buy for the new house and we'll start slowing working our way down it. First priority is new counter top and new mattress since our mattress is shot.
